David Rakoff, a writer famous for his essays has died of
cancer. He was 47. Rakoff, a James Thurber Prize for humor Yank, printed three
books during his lifetime that began with the lines. "We were so happy it
was unfortunate." Rakoff has cancer diagnosed in 2010 was, and eventually
lost the use of his left arm during the treatment. Rakoff, a Canadian by birth,
in New York he lived, learned that he had a tumor while writing emptiness, his
book in defense of pessimism and melancholy. At the awl, printed memory and a
devout Churchill Sicha Rakoff describes the work as "ahead of their time meaning
that we tend to really live for the moment. He was no longer in the big apple
city of his time."
